Sustainability in action: PC911
I read a great blog entry from AzSustainability.com, a blog about (as its URL suggests) sustainability in Arizona.
A Las Vegas-based firm, PC911, started a new division here in Arizona. They have retrofitted former (and old) ambulances so that they can be run on used fryer oil.
While this is a relatively new thing, I think that this is something in which ASU can lead the nation and the world. We have the first School of Sustainability in the nation; now, let's continue President Michael Crow's initiative to make ASU a sustainable institution by retrofitting the ASU gasoline-powered so that it can run on used fryer oil. Goodness, with how college students eat, there should not be a shortage of this power source at all...
